What we do

Concerts and Recitals

The members of the Anglian Ensemble are talented and accomplished chamber and solo musicians with a passion for performing for appreciative audiences. They have presented recitals at Covent Garden, the Aldeburgh Festival, St Judes' Proms, St. John's Smith Square, the Royal Academy of Music, several Cambridge and Oxford colleges, and the Anghiari Festival in Italy, as well as for many music societies around the UK.

A typical programme featuring the flute, violin/viola and cello trio might include:

  • Classical trios by Haydn, Hoffmeister or Mozart;
  • Baroque trios by Devienne, Bach or Handel;
  • Our trio arrangements of other works; plus
  • Solos and duos by members of the trio.

The core members of the Anglian Ensemble are flute, viola and cello, a versatile combination, which can be extended if so desired. We collaborate with other string players and pianists for special occasions. Please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your particular requirements.
